Return of Dragon Ball

Hello everyone,

As you may or may not be aware Dragon Ball is coming back with a new series being shown starting from this July. Many fans including myself are ecstatic over this news as it has been around 18 years since the end of the last.

The new series is apparently set a few years after the Majin Buu saga, as always villains arrive stronger than the previous, and with the latest Dragon Ball movies maybe a SSJ God transformation or two will make an appearance. Akira Toriyama will be in charge of art and story, in my opinion a great plus.

In the meantime refresh your memories of the awesome series that is Dragon Ball with this AMV

2013 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 17,000 times in 2013. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 6 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Golden Time, originally a light novel series written by Yuyuko Takemiya has taken the stage as a newly released anime series. Golden time follows the unpredictable life of a first year law student Banri Tada, thus allowing the viewer to share the experiences both joyful and upsetting of the protagonist.

As the series is new it is hard to classify the show by genre. If I had to guess from what I have watched so far Golden Time is a romantic comedy or slice of life that is set not in a high school environment, but in a University or college environment. Read more…

Nostalgia Corner (Pokemon Part 2- An indepth and Personal look into the Anime)

Last time I wrote about the origins of the first Pokemon games, as well as the accredited spin off manga Pokemon Adventures. This time I want to delve into the official anime that almost all of us would have watched sometime, or still continue to watch this very day.

Currently the Pokemon Anime has a whopping ‘787 main episodes and 16 movies’ (Bulbapdedia) to its name, this is an incredible number for a single series, however if we look back to my first post, as well as other articles, you can see the reason why. Read more…

Nostalgia Corner (Pokemon part 1)

Hey Everyone

It’s been a while since I last posted, with university starting and other commitments it’s hard to focus on the site, and I guess since it’s pretty low traffic at this stage it probably doesn’t matter that much at all.

Any who I thought It would be good to take this opportunity to start blogging again while I have some free time, and what better topic to talk about than Pokemon. In this part I’d like to talk about the roots and beginnings of Pokemon as well as the accredited manga spin off Pokemon Adventures , rather than the official anime which will be covered in part 2. Hey Everyone

As Bleach has been a hot topic for the last couple of weeks I thought I may as well make comments on each successive chapter. This week’s chapter consisted of a brief look on the aftermath and devastation caused by the Vandenreich, and a successful troll by Kubo regarding Byakuya. Read more…
